As you mentioned you're using an ASUS router, one possible reason for the internet connection dropping could be a conflict in DHCP handling both the G34 and the ASUS router manage DHCP by default.

If both routers are connected simultaneously, it may lead to a network conflict. To avoid this, you have two options:

  1. Use the G34 as your primary router and disconnect the ASUS router.
  2. Alternatively, you can set the G34 to bridge mode. This will disable its Wi-Fi frequencies and DHCP functionality, effectively turning it into a cable modem. In this setup, only one Ethernet connection should be made to the G34 connecting it to the ASUS router. From the ASUS router, you can then distribute the remaining connections.

Could you please confirm your product’s model number?

G34

Could you please confirm how many devices are currently connected to the G34’s network? Additionally, let us know which of those devices are connected via Wi-Fi and which are using a wired Ethernet connection.

Are you experiencing any internet issues specifically when connected to the G34’s network?

Wireless:  2 samsung phones, Printer, b hyve (rarely used), MyQ (rarely used), Surface Pro (rarely used)

Wired: Samsung TV, Desktop Computer, ASUS router

Internet loss is occurring as I write this.  Optimum has been here and changed wire outside and said signal is good to the modem but the intermittent problem persists.
