Surfboard Central Parental Controls Enabled but not working

I have the Surfboard Central app on my phone and I listed all my kids devices by name and type and put them under User Profiles for Parental Controls. Then I turned them all on but the children’s devices are still synced with the internet. (The toggle button indicates that parental control is enabled). How can I solve this issue so the parental control actually works? I only bought my modem in June 2023, so it shouldn’t be too old to function properly when it comes with a 2 year warranty.
