trouble registering modem

Serial number and model number, that I entered, do not match; but they do-I checked numerous times.  What do I do?

I have the G34 modem.  I also now have the additional problem of not being able to log into  the interface with my new password.  Also, when I enter 192.168.0.1 in the add. bar, it says “Not Secure” in red letters.  Could all these issues and more be related to the fact that i’m not using the mobile app-I don’t have a smart phone?  I had to call my internet provider to activate my modem.

If you are trying to register your gateway for warranty, please visit our support channel at www.arris.com/consumersupport.

Regarding the "Not Secure" message on the site this appears because the web interface is designed for use with older browser versions, not due to any app settings. Rest assured, even though the browser may flag it as "Not Secure," it is safe to use, as it is the interface to manage your gateway

I am still unable to register my modem.  I keep getting the message, “The serial number and the model number that you entered, do not match”.  That’s as far as I get.  Yes, I’m sure I entered everything correctly

Hi Moderator Team,

I’m trying to register my SURFboard modem for its warranty, but I’ve run into an issue:

  • When I enter the Serial Number and Model Number(G34), I receive the error:

    “The Serial Number and Model Number that you entered do not match. Please verify and re-enter this information again.”

  • I also checked under Warranty Information in my account, and the Model Number field is blank—there’s nothing listed.

It appears the system isn’t recognizing my modem’s model and serial number together, and I’m unable to proceed. Could you please assist with:

  1. Identifying why the model field is blank.

  2. Registering my device properly for the warranty.

Hi Moderator Team,

Thanks for approving my previous post. I understand the need to remove the support phone number.

However, I still need assistance with the issue I mentioned. When I try to register my modem for warranty, I get this error:

"The Serial Number and Model Number that you entered do not match. Please verify and re-enter this information again."

Additionally, under Warranty Information in my account, the Model Number field is blank, which may be related.

Could someone please help me resolve this so I can complete the registration?

I’m having the SAME issue here!

MY product is AX3000 DOCSIS 3.1 Model G34

There’s literally no place to register this $100 paperweight and if I don’t get answers soon, I’m doing what a previous person stated and returning it to the store, since my ability to return it will be up soon.

 

Your product registration site doesn’t even show my product as an OPTION, G34 is only mentioned sporadically throughout this “support” page, which is a misnomer, since I’ve seen very little support in the threads. People don’t have time these days to deal with this issue and certainly don’t have the money to be buying expensive electronics they can’t use.
