G36 and G34 new Arris Gateways features basically the lastest on WiFi technologies available at the market such as:

  • Dual band Wi Fi 6 with total AX3000 speed capacity and b/g/n/ac compatibility
  • DOCSIS 3.1 Gigabit services ready supporting OFDMA channels for up to 4Gbps data plans
  • Four 1Gbps Ethernet ports
  • Simultaneous 4K, virtual reality, and HD video streams easily supported
  • 2x2 OFDM and OFDMA DOCSIS 3.1 channels
  • 32x8 SC QAM DOCSIS 3.0 channels
  • Supports both IPv4 and IPv6
  • Integrated 2.4 GHz 802.11ax and 5 GHz 802.11ax Wi Fi 6 with high power internal antennas
  • Powerful Wi Fi capable of 3.0 Gbps combined data speeds
  • Support for Multicast IP services

but the main difference is gonna be located on the capacities of speed that they are able to handle,

The G36 comes build in with a additional one 2.5Gbps Ethernet port for Multi Gig, which makes the Gateway compatible with the majors 1.Gb speed plans from ISP on the US
