I’m trying to setup a new G36 gateway modem. I’ve activated the modem via the Xfinity app. Now I’m trying to configure Wifi via the Arris Surfboard app but getting a communication failure.

Any support help?

In this case we would suggest you to follow the steps below to avoid the error occur on the surfboard central app

» Uninstall the SBC app

» Perform Hard reset on the modem ( Follow steps mentioned on the article below to reset)

» Connect device to the modem default WIFI network

» Install SBC app

» Enter the WIFI network name manually to which your device is connected to 

» Proceed with Setup and once get into the Home page

» Select the WIFI Icon (Network) on the bottom of the app screen

» Edit the WIFI credentials and click Apply
