I can only see a 5G network on the label of my Arris Surfboard. Does this mean I can’t connect 2.4G devices? How can I add them?

Based on your product category selection (G54), the SSID is combined by default. This is why you do not see a separate 2.4 GHz network—both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands are merged into a single SSID.

You can still connect any device that requires a 2.4 GHz network to this unified SSID. However, if the device is not connecting, please try changing the security mode on your gateway.

You may refer to the link below for instructions on how to update the security mode.

If you prefer to have a separate 2.4 GHz SSID, you can split the network. This will allow you to create dedicated SSIDs for the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and even 6 GHz bands.

Please use the link below for instructions on how to split the network.
