By default, the G54’s Wi-Fi network operates as a combined band. To separate the bands and improve connectivity, you’ll need to split the network.

It should be enabled by default. By default though, bandsteering should also be on.

That combines the 2.4/5/6ghz bands all into one and devices roam between them as needed.

If you want to separate out them, you’ll need bandsteering turned off. (wouldn’t recommend)

Current setup: Netgear CM3000-->Netgear RBE973S-->2.5gig tp-link switch, Xfinity 2.4gig/350mbps
