Hello.  My older modem had an RJ11 plug to connect my landline to it since it runs on Comcast too.  I got a converter on Amazon, but doesn’t work.  I thinking there must be a specific connector to make this work?  Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

The G54 does not support Xfinity voice service, getting a converter won’t work.  You’ll need a gateway or cable modem that has a RJ-11 connector for Xfinity voice service.  SVG2482AC is the only gateway that works with Xfinity voice service for SURFboard product line.
