how do you update this modem, where can you find the update files, because you can't update it inside the surfboard central app , the only reason I'm asking because the upload speed is good and the download speed is bad, we upgrade to 500 with cox, we had 250 before it was fine, sometimes it can disconnect, i had it for a week only.

You don’t. Modem/router combos devices have their firmware as part of the provisioning from the ISP. its not user changeable on these devices.
Your speed issue is probably related to a line issue. Have you had the ISP check the line?

Because of a storm before, I don't know if this affected it, but we are getting 30 downloads and 58 uploads; it was working yesterday, but now the Same issue again nowhere; they mentioned there is an outage in the area I'm in maybe wait a day to see if it's back to normal if not, ill call isp again to check the line,ill be back on a reply,
