Attempting to add a Older G34 to my G54 using an ethernet connection to my G34…     I currently have an my older ASUS RT-N66E Router set up With a Lan IP of 192.168.1.1  (Currently working with a secondary network to extend range)
Attempted to manually set the GS as 192.168.1.5 using its Mac address…
It connected as follows below ….

To begin with, the G54, G34, and ASUS RT‑N66 are all routers. If you interconnect them, you are likely to encounter DHCP conflicts and network issues. If your goal is to extend the coverage range, we recommend using a mesh system or a Wi‑Fi extender, depending on your preference.

I was able to connect my ASUS RT‑N66 router via an ethernet cable from my G54 on the 1st floor and set up a secondary access for my network without conflicting signals.       I was hoping to be able to  do the same with my old G34 to replace the ASUS RT‑N66 .   But from what you are telling my that is not possible with my G34  …..   Thanks for the reply….
