As the title states, everytime I get to the "register my device" part of this app, I get the wifi communication failure message with error Code 0000-1612. 

 

I've reset my device numerous times with both hard and soft resets, un-installed the app, etc. 

 

Apparently I need to get through that page to make an account username and password to get access to my admin page on my g54. 

This is more than frustrating.

Are you setting up through the app? 
You can set it up using the browser method? I prefer that method. Faster and more options to customize. You can also enable DFS channels from that menu and get the faster speeds with the g54

The alternative way for you setup the G54 is through the web based interface (GUI)
