How to set up netgear extender to router g54

Best answer by SURFboard Moderator

If your Netgear extender supports the WPS setup method, you can try using it, as the G54 includes a WPS option when you log in to its web interface.

Please refer to the link below for instructions on how to access the WPS push‑button method on the G54.

What extender is it?

I prefer the installation assistant versus wps. WPS is supposed to be a universal install option but it doesn’t always work correctly (trust me, I’ve been on the netgear forums for over a decade). The installation assistant tends to be more stable.
