G54 connectivity issues

Recently changed out my modem/router setup from the provider supplied (spectrum) to a G54. I had some issues with smart devices and had to split the bands for connectivity. Now though I’m having issues I did not previously have with my provider. Online games are choppy and sporadic and even scrolling instagram it will just not load. My question is, are there particular settings that could be affecting this? Router is probably 15 feet from Xbox that is having streaming issues. I never had these issues with the one from my internet provider  
 

Internet provider is spectrum with a 600 gbps plan.

If you're experiencing connectivity issues specifically with your Wi-Fi connection, we recommend the following steps:

  • Position the gateway at a higher elevation, ideally off the floor and on a shelf or table.
  • Avoid placing it near sources of interference such as microwave ovens, concrete walls, or other electronic devices.
  • Change the Wi-Fi channel to one that is less congested to improve performance.
