Connect your computer to the Wi-Fi or use a wired (Ethernet) connection. Then, open a web browser and type 192.168.0.1 into the address bar.

  1. On the Login page, enter the custom password in the Password field.  The Username field is populated with admin.
  2. On the left-hand menu, click the Connection link and then the Local IP Network link.
  3. Click the IPv4 sub-menu link.  The Gateway > Connection > Local IP Network > IPv4 page will appear.
  4. Uncheck the Enable IPv4/IPv6 DNS Relay option.
  5. Select the Statically configured bullet-point option for LAN DNS.
  6. Enter the alternative primary DNS address into the Primary DNS Server field.
  7. Enter the alternative secondary DNS address into the Secondary DNS Server field.
  8. Enter the four-digit CAPTCHA code in the Type CAPTCHA Here field.
  9. Click the Save Changes button.  Changes take effect immediately.

Are you trying to set up the DNS through the web-based interface (GUI) or using the Surfboard Central app? As mentioned in the link below, you can complete the setup using either the interface or the app.

To set up DNS through the GUI, follow this guide:

To set up DNS through the Surfboard Central app, refer to this guide:
