I recently bought a G54 Docsis 3.1. When I navigate to Parental controls > Managed Sites > Block Sites. I follow the process to add a blocked site, and enable parent controls and *NOTHING* happens. The site doesn’t ‘save’ and doesn’t appear in a list of blocked sites. It does absolutely nothing. This is a basic feature that should work - why doesn’t it?
Hello
Welcome to the community and thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please provide a screenshot and the steps you took for the Block Sites configuration. We’ll look into this for you.
The first picture shows the current status. The second is where I input the site I want blocked, then the third shows after it supposedly ‘accepts’ the input. Nothing changes. The same goes for the blocked keywords. Neither function works.
Try entering Time “00:00 - 23:59” for the entire day and then click the SAVE button.
Thank you that worked! The interface really should have some better explanation to help the user on these dialogue boxes. It would be simple.
So that worked however I have been inputting as many porn sites as I can to block permanently on my router to protect my kids - however I input 30 sites and the router seems to have that as a limit for how many sites can be blocked? Really? Just 30? Why is there any limit at all????!!!!

Hi
I’m in agreement. We reported this to our product team and hopefully we can add some enhancements to make the the Time required field with better descriptions. Thanks again for reporting it.

Try setting up Blocked Keywords rules. Enter the word that is part of the URL to block multiple sites. That should free up the entries for Blocked Websites.
Thanks. It’s a good idea. It seems like however there should be no practical limit to actual full sites blocked.
