Phone can connect, but laptop cannot

I just set up a G54 modem. My cell phone can connect just fine, but when my laptop connects, it says there is no internet. What's up?

Could you please confirm the LED light status on the front panel of your gateway? This will help us better understand the current connectivity state.

Also, may I know the name of your internet service provider?

Lastly, has the gateway been activated through your internet service provider?
