Is it possible to completely disable the WiFi radios on the G54?

I didn’t even think this was a question needing to be asked, until I got a competitor’s product today, and it’s impossible to turn off the radio. (Verified with tech support.) So that’s being returned.

The G54 is my next choice, I’ve read the manual, and that doesn’t say that you can. That does say you can turn off the 2.4GHz radio in section 4 of configuring your WiFi. It even has a picture of the screen with a big button to turn the radio off. The sections on 5 and 6 GHz don’t have a picture, and say to repeat steps 5 on (so no step 4).

There are several other threads here, which are unclear on this, and show various disable buttons on various screens. Or you have to go into bridge mode.

So with the latest firmware, can you turn off all radios on the G54, which still being a router?

Yes, you can enable bridge mode in the modem GUI to completely disable Wi-Fi on the modem, allowing the G54 to function solely as a cable modem. Alternatively, you can use the disable option to turn off both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands through the modem's GUI or web interface.
