Is there anyway to update friends whare G 54 four the Arries?

No. modem/router combo devices firmware is pushed by the isp and needs certification. 

End users can’t update it.

Current setup: Netgear CM3000-->Netgear RBE973S-->2.5gig tp-link switch, Xfinity 2.4gig/350mbps
