I just set up a new G54 modem and the WiFi is not working. It’s not broadcasting any signals. I have Xfinity service and it’s showing I’m connected. My computer is connected via Ethernet and it’s working. Does anyone know what could be the problem?

Are you saying that the Wi-Fi network names are not broadcasting?

If yes, please log in to the G54 web interface by opening a web browser and entering http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.

Once logged in:

  • If this is your first login, you will be prompted to create a password.
  • If instead you are asked to log in with credentials without having created one, this indicates the interface may be misconfigured.

In that case, perform a factory reset to reconfigure the gateway. After the reset and once the gateway has fully booted, check if the Wi-Fi network names are broadcasting.
