Surfboard Central Error Code 0000-1612

Has anyone been able to get the Surfboard Central working. I got it working out of the box but as soon as I change the WiFi password it will not connect. 🤨

Called tech support and went through all the typical steps to troubleshoot. They said to try again in 24hrs. We’ll see fingers crossed.

Looks like your not the only one with the issue. 

 

Current setup: Netgear CM3000-->Netgear RBE973S-->2.5gig tp-link switch, Xfinity 1.4gig/240mbps

48 hours still no go. I’ll call tech support again and see what bogus answer they will give now.

Hi @D-a-n_L.  Because you changed your Wi-Fi password and setup admin password, you’ll need to setup the SB Central app by clicking the link on the bottom of the setup screen.  The START INSTALL button is for new out-of-the-box setup with the G36 in default settings.  Hope this helps.

I have the same issue also with a G36

mine app gets stuck at the security check, where I can’t see the scrabbled word, and can’t go beyond that screen

I have NOT changed the password on the modem which you would need this app to do I think…
