Forum|alt.badge.img

Problem is houses is wired up with RJ45 Cat 5 cables in all the rooms. Can connect router is any room with the modem in any room. But cannot get a wired internet connection from the switch to a console or computer. Xbox said that the problem was with DCHP settings. Notes should include

this is a wifi mesh system with a modem router and satellite.
network switch is a self managed switch so I can plug in the modem and router wherever and they figure it out.

S33 is just a cable so that can provide only one IP address to the modem so the LAN from S33 should directly connected to the mesh router WAN port and from the router you can do the ethernet or LAN cabling to all the rooms and also you can connect switch to the router LAN port for connecting devices.

You can’t connect the S33 LAN port and the W21to the switch to let them all figure it out.  The Switch should be connected to the W21 LAN Ethernet port.

Here’s how they should be connected:

(Internet) <---coaxial cable-→ S33 coax port / S33 Eth port #1 <---Ethernet cable-→ W21 WAN port / W21 LAN port <---Ethernet cable-→ Switch uplink
