Hello,

I have a mAX® Wi-Fi® 6E (W61/W161) set up with separate SSID for each frequency band. I'm experiencing the 6 GHz band disconnecting and reconnecting even when there is no roaming. When looking at the broadcast of the SSID, it appears to be crashing and restarting. The 5 GHz is stable.  The 2.4 GHz seems to have a lot of interference and my IoT devices keep getting dropped and reconnected throughout the day. I've tried changing channels for all of these but can't find any that are stable. I've tried running with and without the satellite as well. Is this really the norm?

Could you please confirm whether the entire Wi-Fi network is experiencing interference or if it only occurs on a specific device?

Ensure that both the main unit and the satellite are placed in a centralized location, away from walls, microwave ovens, and other potential sources of interference.

Yes, I've done all the basics of moving the unit around to avoid interference. Problem is still present with different devices connected to it. All my IoT devices intermittently get disconnected. I had a Netgear AC1750 in the same location and did not have this issue before. The 2.4 GHz is experiencing the most issues. It's as of it can't handle enough devices. It's about 30 devices but it recognizes more then 50 because some devices connect with different frequencies.

In this case, try performing a factory reset on both the main router and the satellite, then set up the W61 again to fully reconfigure the system. Before doing so, make sure to remove the device from the app, then proceed with the factory reset on both units and restart the setup process.

Please refer to the link below for instructions on removing the device from the Surfboard Central app and performing a factory reset.
