Hello,

We need to know how we go about getting current firmware images for our SB modems.  We are a small CATV provider who uses CASA vccap for a CMTS.  We own our own DOCSIS provisioning system, so we need to add current SB modem firmware to our modem firmware server.

We switched from Touchstone modems to Surfboard modems as Touchstone no longer exists.

we are mostly using SB8200’s and SB8300’s but we do have some other models

Cheers
Corey

Could you help us by providing the name of the company and its location?

Once we have this information, we can proceed with the next steps accordingly.

We might be small but we use DAA technology (we where one of the first companies in he world to release DAA tech live on the plant) on our HFC plant.  We have our own DOCSIS provisioning server so we can easily maintain customer modem firmware releases. We need to be able see change logs and release notes for firmware releases so that we can distribute correct firmware levels which coincide with our outside plant.  It is very important that we fully understand details of all the modem firmware capabilities so that we can offer features to our customers which help improve our service level to our customers; for example we configure DOCSIS low level latency and AQM on our modems to enhance our customers experience.

I look forward to someone contacting me on how we can do this.     In the past Arris would load what we need onto their portal for us.  But Arris, with Surfboard, is long gone now.

Love your dedication to that. I’m with xfinity and any update is a struggle to get from them and their priority is profit, not performance. If you ever end up in the midwest region of the US, I’ll be signing up :) Again, applaud your dedication
