G34, SBG10, and SBG6580 are compatible with COX internet service provider.
Could you let us know which model number you are using now?
If you are unable to access the GUI web portal, I would suggest trying logging in with different devices.
Also, please try accessing the GUI portal without co-axial cable.
I’ve seen users give the wrong mac address to ISPs. I’d look at the one on the device and log into the gui to compare. could be a simple mis-identification.
I am back to the 2006 SBG6580. only have access to one wifi HZ but do not know which one. Cannot access 192.168.0.1 admin page . did all the reset stages, password for password , last 8 digits of S/N
password has always worked on every Arris/Motorola modem or modem router I have used in the past.
mac address and S/N confirmed when calling cox to activate a G34. and SBG10
Thank you
never used a GUI that I know of. Always used 192.168.0.1
When dealing with Cox and activating the G34 and SBG10, they were able to ping the modem and do a reset, but neither would connect to the internet. lights never turned blue on the SBG10 and could not tell anything with the G34 since it does not have different lights to diagnose
tried access 192 with phone, user name or password invalid
with my outdated modem sbg6580, internet download tested speed, 33.4 wifi download tests 58.3 ? 500mbps plan
Well folks, Cox tech just left. Apparently phone help had the wrong mac address. Even though they confirmed it 3 times. He replaced a couple cable ends outside. over 300 tested download cable 285 download WiFi.
I am really sorry to say that it helps when someone can speak english. could have been combination of excuse me? and garbled voice through hearing aids.
