If you are using the gateway which is the combination of modem and router or for the separate router you can access respective interface or GUI to change the default SSID/ Wi-Fi name. It is possible. If you could help us with the modem model number we can provide you the respective article to customize your Wi-Fi setup or you can also reach out to arris.com/consumersupport for any information.
