I have an AppleTV and a few computers wired to a switch and then the switch is wired to my base. How can I keep the connections from sleeping even if the connected device goes to sleep (like at night, etc).Sometimes the AppleTv is hard to wake up with the remote

There isn’t much to do. They’re designed that way. You could potentially go into the settings on the apple and change it to prevent standby
