S33 cannot access webmanager after switching to this modem from a netgear cm1000

so i just bought this modem today and activated it with spectrum.  previously i had a CM1000 modem from netgear.  since i’ve switched to this modem, i cannot access 192.168.100.1 unless i connect directly to the modem with my laptop and a lan cable.

before, when i had the other modem, i could access the same address with no problems.  what could be causing this?  when i type in the 192.168.100.1 address, the page just says timed out

I finally found out how to do this.  all i had to do was change the router’s IP address to 192.168.0.2

when i did that and rebooted both modem and router, i was able to access 192.168.100.1!

Hello laundryguy

I think it could either be that both the router and the modem use the same IP and causes a conflict or the firmware might be interfering. Can you try without the coax cable?
