sbg6782-ac docsys 3.0 certificate expiration date

Thats the first I’ve ever heard of cutting off support for docsis 3.0 devices. And they’re still selling them. It is a very base level docsis 3.0 device with a minimum modem. It might not support your speed tier anymore. 

Eitherway, it is recommended to upgrade as thats a pretty old/slow device. I’d take a look at xfinity’s approved devices list and pick something that hits your speed tiers (or above for future upgrades)

Thanks for your help.  The cutoff story came from an Xfinity rep who likely just wanted to tack a rental onto my contract.  I ordered a 3.1 from eBay as the old one is a bit flaky anyhow.

Which one did you go with? I've used the G54, netgear CM2500/CM3000.
