I have a 800GB plan with Xfinity but using the 2.5GB port. could this cause Xfinity to drop my connection? The modem never comes back online until I reboot it manually. I tried Windows Trouble Shooting and ipconfig /renew  etc to see if I could get it back online without a reboot but nope. Im guessing with all the others having the same issue, its faulty firmware being pushed from Xfinity ???
How do I report this so a Surfboard technician can look into this issue before I end up just going with a different brand?
Could changing anything in the LAN Ethernet Ports help. they are all set to Auto Configuration.

Do you think the ALG Application Layer Gateway, specifically the SIP setting could cause some sort of incompatibility with the Xfinity network?

Does it happen if its hardwired into the 1 gig port? Or only the 2.5gig port

Well I haven’t tested yet in any other port but the 2.5. I plan on trying that if it does it again tonight. Maybe it’s only designed for over 1GB speeds???
