I currently have WOW service and need a new modem. My current plan is 200 download and 10 upload. I can get an SB6183 sealed unit (black - maybe this is older?) for $20. I have a Black  Friday deal on the SB8200 for $98. Is the SB8200 worth the difference since I’m limited by my plan speed anyway. I do tend to keep my modems for some time. I had my last modem for 9 years. I’d like to hear opinions. Thanks.

SB8200 is capable of providing more than 200 Mbps and also we would suggest you to check with your Internet service provider about the speed compatibility for this particular model.

I’d go for the SB8200. its more expensive but docsis 3.1 versus the SB6183 is only 3.0.

Many ISP’s are pushing for 3.1 as a baseline anymore.
