I’d like to know if there is a way to check for firmware updates on this modem. I have not seen any way to do this via my CMG (configuration manager). The problem is the modem is regularly rebooting itself automatically. I do unplug the modem every night after I am through using it.

There isn’t.
But that device needs to be upgraded. Its a very old docsis 2.0 device. At the time it was released its “up to speed” was only 38mbps.
The vast majority of ISP’s are requiring docsis 3.0 devices and some even are starting 3.1 devices.
that might be where the issues are stemming from.
