I recently purchased a refurbished Arris S33 v2 for my 1g connection from Optimum.

And I am getting random internet cuts for like 1 minutes and comes online again on its own.

I have a Mikrotik router behind S33 modem.

when modem goes offline I can clearly see the public ip on wan interface gone and replaced with 192.168.100.10. I don't have to reboot or do nothing it comes online on its own.

As we checked the cable signals, under downstream channels all the signals are in range. But for the upstream channels, power levels should be greater than 45dbmv.

I suggest to contact internet service provider to adjust the cable signals in range or reprovision the modem to fix this issue.

 

Thank you, The tech visited and added some splitter in between now the upstream bonded channels looks good with 43.0dBmV but Down Bonded Channels Power is -1dBmV -2dBmV.
Is it a good number ??
 

 

Seems like something is still not good.
Why are there so many Uncorrectables ?
 


 

Correctable and uncorrectable should be zero values. I request to contact internet service provider and ask them to make the changes accordingly.
