I just purchased an ARRIS Surfboard S34 as I upgraded to 800 mbs speed.  I have internet connection with a constant blue light on the front of the modem but the connection on the back of the modem is flashing yellow. Xfinity says it is not a problem on their end. This modem was a recommendation from Xfinity.  What can the issue be?  Thanks for any help.

If your concern is regarding the LED light status on the Ethernet port at the back of the S34, as mentioned by @plemans , an amber blinking LED typically indicates that data traffic is in progress. This is normal behavior and suggests that the device is actively transmitting or receiving data.

If you're trying to check the internet connection, I would suggest plugging the Ethernet cable directly into a computer using the Ethernet port to test the connection.
