The title says it all, after a week of back and forth, high-level Optimum tech support is telling me their system cannot activate my brand new Arris S33v3 cable modem. No explanation, no assurances of they’re working on it, just simply I can’t use it to connect to my internet service with them. So sorry, goodbye.

We've seen that customers using Optimum as their internet service provider have successfully used the ARRIS S33 model, and it is confirmed to be compatible.

If you're experiencing issues, we recommend reaching out to Optimum’s higher-level technical support for further assistance.

There’s a possibility that the issue could be due to:

  • Coaxial cable damage within your property
  • Improper signal distribution

If Optimum is the only provider available in your area, contacting their advanced tech support is the best course of action.
