Just received my Arris Surfboard S34.
Contacted Xfinity and have it activated
I have an ethernet cable connected from the modem to my computer.

I cannot access: 192.168.100.1

It reads: “Safari can’t open the page “192.168.100.1” because the server where this page is located isn’t responding.

Your computer should get a public IP from your provider when the S34 is online and should get you to the S34 user interface at 192.168.100.1.

You can try assigning these address to your computer network adapter to get to the user interface.

IP Address: 192.168.100.5
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.100.1

Not the safest going from modem---->pc.

A router acts as a firewall and should be in place after a modem
