I am trying to connect a TP-Link XE75 Pro to my S33 Cable Modem. It wants to know the internet type and I contacted Xfinity and they told me that since it is not a modem provided by them, they cannot give me that information. They told me to contact Arris.

Did you get it activated by Xfinity?

If so, you should be able to connect the tplink to it without issues.

Something to keep in mind though is that xfinity only supports 1 public ip address for consumer lines. So even through the s33 has 2x Ethernet ports, only 1 device can be connected.

If something else was connected, power the modem and the router off for a couple minutes.

Then power the modem back on with nothing connected and give it a bit to fully boot. Then connect the tplink to it and boot the tplink, You might need to re-run the tplinks internet setup option.
