I have a new S34 modem that I received from Amazon. I activated it on August 29th and have been using it since then. I had a disconnection just a little while ago (it did come back online right away after a manual restart) and I noticed that the exhaust from the top of the modem feels hot. I measured it with an IR thermometer and it is reading between 120F and 130F (49C to 54C). My room is 75F (24C).

Are these temperatures normal for the S34?

Since the modem is hot to touch, I would suggest disconnecting the modem from power outlet for safety reasons.
