I suggest checking the modem through a hardwire connection with your computer or laptop.

If you have an internet connection, please disconnect the Ethernet cable from your computer and connect directly to the router.

If you are unable to access the internet, then I suggest to power cycle both your modem and router and try to check the internet connection.
