I bought an ARRIS S33 2 years ago and just the other day it started making a horrible whining noise. Now it will not connect to anything. I get a red light and constant noise. I have unplugged and left it alone for hours and came back to try again and still it will not work. I wanted to contact support but the chat is down and there is no email/phone number. What can I do? My S/N states it is still within warranty. I bought an S34 for the interim while I try and get this fixed. 

Since you are experiencing high-pitched noise without internet, I would suggest trying to connect the modem with a different power outlet and power cord.
