I tried adding another s33 modem for garage using bridge mode. Didn't appear to work so I disabled bridge and now I can't connect back to my network. Spoke to isp and said all is good on their end. Please help!
Your question is a little confusing.
My understanding is that the Surfboard S33 is a cable modem only, so I’m unclear on how you might enable “bridge mode” on it.
Bridge mode is a term more commonly applied to routers. I do not believe that the S33 is a router.
Hope this helps.
Under the surfboard app under settings is an option to turn bridge mode on. I was told if I do that and connect extra s33 that it would be like a plug and play. Tried that and now everything is messed up
The s33 is my modem. I have the w31 satellite for wifi
At this point I would just like everything to go back to the way it was before I clicked on the bridge button in surfboard app
You may have shone a little light on the problem with your additional info.
Could it be that you were “told” to add an additional W31 to your system? And not an additional S33.
This is just a guess on my part, I do not have direct experience with the W31.
You can always factory reset and reinstall. Push and hold reset on each device for 7-15 seconds while powered on.
FYI, you can’t have more than 1 modem (S33) on an account.
