My S33 seems to be having the same issue as many others on this forum. Constant noise with orange light / light blue light. I checked with my ISP and everything is good on their end but still no wifi. I’m on the east coast and customer service isn’t open until 11am here. Need my WiFi backup and running ASAP. Wondering if anyone has had ARRIS send them a replacement modem and how long that normally takes. 

If you managed to get wifi from the S33, you’re doing great as its a modem only device. It doesn’t have any wifi. If you think the modem is bad, you’ll need to contact support for RMA options. 


Obviously I have a router. And I know I have to wait to speak with customer service. My question was has anyone gone through the process of having the modem replaced by ARRIS and how long does that usually take.


there’s usually different options. like

  1. free option. where you ship yours in and they exchange it when they get it. 
  2. paid option: they ship you one as you ship yours back
  3. even costlier, they next day one while you ship yours back. 

Thats been my experience. but you’d have to contact support. for the cost, might not be a bad idea to just pickup a used modem from fleabay/marketplace while you go through the rma process. Then you have a backup for any future issues.
