My modem just stopped working randomly. I restarted it multiple times.

 

I tried resetting it by pushing the reset pin up to 30-60 seconds, but the white light never changes. Is there usually a visible confirmation that the reset worked?

I finally had a comcast technician come out and I am using a rental modem.

But just in the off chance somebody knows the problem, please help. The white light stays on and never changes colors.

 

Also, can we ship the rma back in the original retail box only? It is pretty well protected in the retail box.

If the LED light status is white, I suggest factory-resetting the modem and then checking the IPV4 address through a hardwired connection.

You can send the defective unit with any box. It is not mandatory to send it through the original retail box.
