Hello,

I’ve 1Gbps/350Mbps internet now. I bought S33v3 to support this tier since MB8600 didn’t work good with it. But the upload appear to be limited around 45Mbps. ISP tech checked everything and I couldn’t find a problem and said this modem doesn’t support the higher upload speed.  Based on the event log, I think the correct config is not in place because some issue with either modem or the provisioning itself. I can’t believe S33 can’t support higher speed.

Can someone tell what’s wrong here ? Thanks you

who’s your isp?

Because the S33 isn’t approved on most ISp’s for the increased upload.

ISP is Midcontinent Communications and S33v3 is approved modem on their list.

I called Surfboard support they said S33 doesn’t support upload speed more than 42-45Mbps

while its on their approved list, it doesn’t have the check mark that’d I’d assume is for increased speeds.

Approved Modems | Midco Internet Support

S34 is supposed to on the list which supports higher upload speeds but unfortunately it is not. Who knows when Midco will  approve it. I just don’t know why MB8600 had this problem at the first place which I  was using before. The internet will stuck often in download area and this problem started after Midco upgraded the tier from 750/200 to 1Gb/350 .
