My Xfinity plan allows up to 100 Mbps upload. I can only achieve 23Mbps. Xfinity says nothing is wrong on their end. I told them my upload signal level is 43dBmV and that falls too low. I have asked them to increase, but I get a run around. They want me to lease one if their modem. I am not doing it. Is there a special number at Xfinity one can call to speak to people who understand me?

The S33 isn’t approved for the increased upload speeds. Hopefully *yet*

its basically the coda, coda56, netgear cm3000, netgear CBK750, and the Arris G54

Those are currently the only ones approved. So far. they’re working on  more.

I have the exact same issue. They came out and tested my line, which is capable of 400+ Mbps uploads, but the modem caps this at ~27 Mbps. Nobody at Xfinity has mentioned that the limitation is imposed by modem models.

I got an answer from Xfinifty. The S33 is not supported for the Next Gen Speed Tier. They recommend a Hitron CODA56.

Thanks for the reply. Seems like a pointing match between manufacturers and Comcast. Forum post here shows some frustrated customers: https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r33802999-Is-the-Arris-S33-able-to-get-the-new-upload-speeds-100Mbps
