S34 - Unable to activate the modem with COX

Well after talking to Cox on the phone and in the store, they can’t activate my new S34 modem.  This company really needs to stop advertising that it is compatible, because in Las Vegas, it is not. 
 

I hope Amazon will take it back, if not I wasted 200 bucks for nothing.

Reddit has posts with users using on cox. I’d probably try a new rep or exchange it for a different s34. maybe you got a bad one or you’re giving/reading the mac address wrong

we figured out the issue - the 2 people at Cox were trying to activate a G34, not the S34.  It now works just fine.  Thanx
