I have a Sony Bravia  Google Play TV. My service provider is Comcast and I connect to Xfinity TV program on a HDI port and  Google Play is configured for the port called Channel . I began having service interruption issues on my Sony Bravia Google Play about 1 month now. The Google Play App would just hang and not load at all while in the same instance the NetFlix app would load wihout issues indicating that this is NOT a network issue on my network. The Netflix APP  has  its own icon and loaded without issues and have no issues with Xfinity programming loading  That tells me that my TV is working ok, no issues with the sound or picture.  Ive began getting messages from SurfBoard and Fing suggesting that services have been handed off.  The XFINITY Remote controls the volume when ocassionally  my Sony Bravia Google Play TV  works which suggests there may be some crossfunctioning.

Could you let us know the product model number?

Could you let me know whether the TV is connected with Wi-Fi or an ethernet cable?

Since the TV is working fine and you are experiencing the issue with the Xfinity box, I would suggest checking the same with Xfinity support.

I need to provide additional context arising from an email that I received from malwarebytes advising that they blocked 73.0.63.17  to login to my network due unauthorized access suggesting that this may be the genesis of the problem on my network.  I will speak to Comcast about the range of IP  in setting up that rule for malwarebytes.

I am also interested in using the Fing upgraded App to monitor my network.  Please send me a link to download the documentation for Surfboard S3.1 cable modem.

Thanks

Lavern

if you’re on a modem (which you imply because you posted in the s33 forum), that isn’t possible. Its a simple modem. It’d be whatever router you have managing your netowrk and not your modem.

So I currently have access after Google challenged me to authenticate and identify myself and have had access since.  Not sure why or how it got to that point
