Trying to access my S34 modem on my LAN using Chrome, and the site displays the “Not secure” message. I downloaded the certificate, and imported it into my Chrome certificate manager, yet I am still getting this error while accessing the S34. Is that certificate valid?

When you access the modem’s GUI using its IP address, you might see a “Not Secure” warning in your browser. This is completely normal because the connection is local and does not use a public SSL certificate like websites do. Your modem’s interface is still safe to use since you are accessing it directly within your network.

Thank you, but merely having a secure connection is not my main point. As you very well know, browsers treat insecure connections differently than secure ones: Aside from the fact that accessing the insecure website requires at least two extra steps (see attached screenshot), Chrome’s Password Manager will not even populate the password automatically; all in all, dealing with insecure sites is a pain in the neck. So please advise us how to (a) make the site secure, or (b) bypass all these loops and hoops.

Its local. It doesn’t need to be secure.
You can always use that google thing to find ways for that message to not appear.
