Hello,
I’ve been having issues connecting to my ISP (Optimum Online) for the last few days and they are suggesting that it is an issue with my modem. I’ve replaced my ISP installed coaxial cable with a brand new RG6 cable as there was a tear in part of the old cable. The modem is on a constant blinking green light as of Saturday 2/21 at ~12:30 AM. On checking the status, I see the following:
Startup Procedure
| Procedure | Status | Comment |
| Acquire Downstream Channel | 609000000 Hz | Locked |
| Connectivity State | In Progress | Upstream Parameters Acquired |
| Boot State | In Progress | Upstream Parameters Acquired |
| Configuration File | In Progress | |
| Security | Failed | BPI+ |
| DOCSIS Network Access Enabed | Denied |
Downstream Bonded Channels
| Channel ID | Lock Status | Modulation | Frequency | Power | SNR/MER | Corrected | Uncorrectables |
| 27 | Locked | QAM256 | 609000000 Hz | 5dBmv | 41 dB | 0 | 0 |
Upstream Bonded Channels
| Channel ID | Lock Status | US Channel Type | Frequency | Width | Power |
| 5 | Not Locked | SC-QAM | 14000000 Hz | 6400000 | 51.3 dbMV |
From my layman understanding, most of these parameters seem okay (minus the upstream power being a little high). Is there anything else suggesting that the modem is broken, or does the problem seem to be more on the ISP’s side of things?
Thanks in advance!
