why so many correctable errors.

so rebooted the modem, and after 1 hour there is over 88 million correctable errors.

that is a million correctable errors,  Ideas why so high?

Correctable and uncorrectable errors are related to the internet service itself, and users have no control over them.

Correctable errors are transmission errors that are automatically corrected by the internet service provider when they send a Forward Error Correction.

i understand that, per the spec, but if the modem cpu is spending alot of time correcting this to the tune of 1 million a second. we are running a cpu pretty hard, there has to be a point of dimishing returns.
