We’ve been having issues with our wifi since December 2023. We replaced our old Arris modem with the same model just new modem at the time and we have still been unable to have consistent wifi connection. We have Optimum as our service provider and they have came out to check in their end and have even replaced the Coax cable saying that was the root issue. That service call was back in January and here we are back in March having the same issues. They are coming out tomorrow to check on it again but just curious if anyone has had any issues like this before. It is incredibly annoying to try to work and do school work with no internet at home.

SB6183 Is just a cable modem so if you are having intermittent connection issue on WIFI you need to check on the router GUI or interface for configuration but to check the modem we need device for direct connection like laptop or computer to the modem and monitor connection for 24hrs. If you see internet drops on direct connection as well the we would suggest you to check the cable signal level on the modem to isolate the issue.
